It is not prominently stated anywhere, but this fixture uses "twist and lock" fluorescent bulbs which can't be used with dimmer switches. It blew my dimmer switch - which we feel is needed for a chandelier over a kitchen table. So had to return it and find another non-fluorescent bulb chandelier. Otherwise, this looked great and seemed a bargain for the price. And to note - Amazon made the return very easy and quick.
