These Danish Elipse Torches have been fantastic, everyone has wanted them when they see them... it's great they can be filled without having to touch the Oil, and since the Oil is Vegetable Oil, not Petroleum, there's no soot, gasoline smell or toxic, flammable issues. 72 Inch Champange Luster Glass Outdoor Garden Tiki Torch Review

These look great, however, whenever it rains water somehow gets inside which ruins the oil and you have to change it. The wicks also don't work well. Stored the torches over the winter and now the wicks won't stay lit for more than 5 minutes. Would never recommend these.

I made an order to back yard bargains. When it got here it was the completely wrong order. They have been screwing me around for a week now to return it. Best thing was they wanted me to pay to return the package. They screwed up the order and want me to pay to fix it. If you call to complain they just hang up on you. Worst company I have ever dealt with. Like I said pure rip off this company.

This video graphically demonstrates the difference between Petroleum-based Lamp, Candle & BBQ Starter Fluid (Kerosene, Paraffin Oils, on the left), with the first-ever eco-friendly, made from Vegetable Oil, Danish Clean Green Oil (on the right). This Patented Oil, not made from Petroleum, is environmentally friendly, virtually carbon neutral, and non toxic. Danish Clean Green Oil is imported from Denmark. As you'll see, the Danish Green Oil produces virtually no soot or smoke... Get rid of all that soot on your walls and in your lungs, get rid of the taste of Kerosene in your food, and help the environment with a safe non-petroleum alternative. It works perfectly and we've noticed a difference already. Good Directions 207CH Large Oil Table Lamp with Snuffer Cap Review

Good Directions 207CH Large Oil Table Lamp with Snuffer Cap
Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)
I bought three of these a couple of months ago. Not that that matters except that after buying and burning them, I am a willing to be a repeat customer.
These are really very nice. A few minor issues to be aware of, though. They do not come with poles even though the description indicates that they do. I've ordered these a few times and they are just the lamp/wick/ferrule itself.
They are a bit expensive compared to other/cheaper oil lamps but they also look nice. The medium is also really more of a small. It's pretty tiny and just a few inches in diameter. The snuffer cap is the same size as the big ones so it kind of gets lost under the cap.
Also, there is no locating ridge or fit that centers the snuffer and keeps it centered. The weight of the chain tends to tilt it off to the side if anything bumps it but they tend to stay in place just fine. The filler hole is the same as the wick hole and a bit on the small side. There is a wick ferrule that holds and centers the wick so you don't have to re-thread the wick each time you fill the lamp. The hole is still fairly small (maybe a half inch) so you may want to use a small funnel to fill these or you might pour oil all over, especially if it's windy.
Now the good.
These just look nice. It's a very attractive design. Also copper is a stylish metal to use. Copper itself is a little soft though the hammering and shaping should have hardened it. The chain is still soft copper which makes it easy to attach the loop at the end to whatever mount you use for the lamps - but there is no place on the lamp itself to secure the snuffer cap chain. My lamps all were packed well and arrived in perfect condition.
I poured sand into ceramic saucers for clay pots to bed these lamps in. It really stabilizes the lamps since the flat portion of the base isn't that large. The sand will also soak up any oil that might spill during filling. The large lamps will hold a lot of oil though I didn't fill mine to the seam just in case it isn't oil tight. I would bet it is, and maybe even soldered, but I wasn't sure so didn't overfill. It might be more obvious on the straight copper ones.
The wick height seems to be fairly sensitive. A little adjustment can make a pretty big change in flame height. The flame is also fairly thin in width but nicely tall the way I have my wicks adjusted. With the lamp oil I am using, I get a beautiful orange flame with very little soot. Supposedly the fiberglass wicks will last virtually forever from other comments I have seen about them. And the snuffers with the chains make it really easy and clean to cover over the wicks and put out the lamps.
They do cost a bit more than the oil lamps you can buy at outdoor supply stores. There are a few features that might make them not suitable for some locations/installations. I think bedding them in sand is pretty much essential if you might have any risk of someone or some thing tipping them. The poles they show in many of the pictures might be nice but they are also $30 - making the total cost more like $70 per lamp if you go that route. But they are elegant and make a garden look very nice. The night view with dancing orange flames is gorgeous.
