(More customer reviews)The fan in and of itself is a great quality product. The installation is typical of most fan installations. However, there is one drawback with my experience. I had an incredibly hard time balancing the fan. All of the fan blades were slightly warped. Once attached to the fan the distance from ceiling to fan blade differed from each blade by as much as 1.25". This truly is unacceptable. As I am a DIY type of guy, I tackled the problem logically and moved the fan blades with the most similar distances from the ceiling opposite from each other. This method produced perfect results on low and high settings. The medium setting still has a slight wobble, however; I am satisfied at this juncture. On a good note, this fan looks beautiful and modern at an affordable price. The noise level is minimal. The remote is a great feature and the airflow is fantastic. Overall I would recommend and purchase this fan again.

It was sooooooo easy to replace the existing light with the instructions. I have put in other lights (hall, bedrooms, bathroom, ceiling fans, chandelier) and this one by far was the easiest. It looks great with the new table and chairs.

52" Casa Surveyor™ Oil-Rubbed Bronze Ceiling Fan Review

(More customer reviews)I would give this fan 4, maybe even 5 stars, if the included wall control was remotely intelligent, but it pisses me off every time I use this fan, so it seriously takes away from my overall enjoyment of it. Let me just start off describing the wall control unit: there are two buttons and a rocker switch. The top button cycles through the fan speeds and the bottom button cycles through the light brightness, then the rocker is a master on/off switch. Each time you hit a button, there's an annoying audible series of tones that changes in pitch that is supposed to tell you which fan speed or brightness level it is on. Let me just say that I have owned the fan now for at least 6 months, and I have no idea how many brightness levels or fan speeds there are. It goes something like this: Slow -> Medium -> Fast -> Fastest -> Off. Try to imagine being able to tell visually the difference in fan speeds and you'll understand how completely stupid this is (or try to remember and decipher the audible morse code). For the light, the only definitive change is going from brightest to off. They could have made this 5x simpler, 1000x less annoying, and 5x faster by just replacing this brain-dead method with more buttons.
With that said, the fan itself is attractive and works quietly. However, I would hesitate to buy any more Casa products because I fear that they'll use this common control mechanism. In another room, I have a Minka Aire fan that, with a single push of a button, I can get exactly the light or fan speed I want. This drastic difference makes it even more annoying that I have to put up with the Casa control unit.

(More customer reviews)This light is beautiful and I am very pleased with the quality, however, after much fiddling around with it - it does not lay flush on my wall. I am not sure if this is a design issue with the back of the light, but the old light I replaced this with had a much different backing and fit on the wall flush. I can see a gap between the light & the wall when looking sideways down my hallway.
Besides the installation issues, I am extremely pleased with this light. It improved the look of my hallway greatly.

(More customer reviews)I mounted it on the wall in my tiny bedroom. I have it plugged in to a remote at the wall outlet so I can turn it on and off without having to get up. It's very cute. It ocillates but also has a pull up switch to keep it from oscillating. The only drawback I can think of is it's not all that quiet.
