(More customer reviews)I purchased this fan to replace one of the same model that I couldn't get to balance. The old one was too wobbly. Amazon handled the purchase and shipment perfectly. Ordering was easy, and delivery was fast. The fan is easy to install. The canopy is in two parts which makes for easy wiring because you don't have to slip it on the down rod prior to wiring like other brands. There were ample weights provided for balancing and clear instructions. This fan has to be oiled before operation and Hunter includes a pouch of oil to use that is the exact amount and type. One issue I had about installing the oil was this fan had the filler hole in a different location than was in the instructions and not clearly marked. This one had a screw cap on the upper gear housing instead of a labeled hole on top of the motor like the one I was replacing. I called Hunter customer service to make sure I was adding the oil in the right place and the tech support basically told me the same thing that was in the instructions, however later models had the filler hole on the gear housing but not under a screw cap. Common sense pointed to the screw cap, so I went with my instincts, having installed numerous fans over the years, and added it under the screw cap. It was the right place. I was able to balance the blades in about a half hour, according to their instructions, and besides a slight wobble at start up, the fan runs very smooth and quiet at all speeds and high speed really moves. The low speed seems as fast as other brands high setting. This is a quality fan and should last a long time. The one I replaced lasted 8 years and I'm not sure why it went out of balance. I probably could have balanced it if I spent a lot of time and had enough weights.
