(More customer reviews)I received this lamp from Amazon.com with scuff marks on the canopy. They appear to be a manufacturing defect - Made in China. See the pictures I added for the product from the main product page. While they are not major enough for me to warrant a return, buyer beware. I got a really good deal on this lamp and it's not worth me returning it.
I'd also mention that the glass for the lamp is 12" in diameter, much larger than I expected. The description mentioned the size of the canopy and I thought that was referring to the entire lamp. In fact, the "canopy" figure relates to the metal portion only. It's a very attractive lamp and the glass mostly covers any defects in the metal finish.
Update Sep. 5 2010:
Less than two months in operation, I decided to change the bulb to another CFL. I screwed in the bulb to feel it click ever so slightly. The inner metal socket holding the lamp in the lampholder broke off and the unit will no longer hold the bulb. Closer inspection shows very shotty craftsmanship. I am going to replace the lampholder myself, because I like the shape of this lamp a lot, but please be warned of the questionable quality. I would not buy again!
Update Oct. 25 2010:
I ordered a Leviton replacement lampholder, installed it and now the lamp works again! I still wouldn't buy this product again. Boo on World Imports!

It's contemporary looking and very bright. It's our main light for the family room. It also uses 3 incandescent bulbs, which is a plus for us. We did not want fluorescent or halogen.
