(More customer reviews)We bought four of these. Price wise, we could not find a cheaper UL rated outdoor fan. Overall they have been good, however we do not recommend them for unproteced areas with the possibility of high winds. We have had trouble with the fan blades working themselves loose over time as the wind has flexed the blades. Given that, we received great customer service when two of the blades came loose, hit the ground, and broke. If you put these in a high wind area, you must tighten the blades from time to time or they will break off. This may be an issue for all outdoor ceiling fans, not just this model. If you live in an area with high wind potential, we recommend not installing outdoor ceiling fans. The two fans we installed in an outdoor wind protected area have had no issues.
