(More customer reviews)I recently moved into a new apartment, but had NO lighting. Between thrift stores and craigslist I managed to find a couple affordable table lamps but couldn't find any floor lamps that weren't boring or poorly made within my price range.
I was bored one night and browsed Amazon for awhile and I stumbled across this little beauty. It took awhile to ship, but once I got it, it was amazingly easy to put together and works great in my new place. I'm really happy with it!!
I would totally recommend this product to anyone who asks.

(More customer reviews)This lamp looks attractive in my office, but is lacking the quality I expected for such an expensive item. The one thing that annoys me is the connection lines made when screwing the stands together. Even though shipping would be more costly I believe they should have made them a single piece instead of 3 separate poles. I also had to bend each stand in order for them to stand straight up. Some kind of support link between the stands at the top would made this a much more sturdy lamp.

(More customer reviews)I recently purchased the Kenroy Home 307420RB Plateau Floor Lamp. It is one of the most beautiful lamps I've ever seen. Has a good weight to it and I think it will last for many many years. It seems a bit shorter than most floor lamps but it fits into my room perfectly. I also ordered the matching table lamp and wasn't as happy with that purchase because the metal was welded poorly making the lamp look lop-sided.

Unfortunately, when it arrived and we were putting it together, the (plastic) joint connecting the head of the lamp to the body of the lamp snapped in half while screwing together. Why would Kenroy use a plastic joint for the main connection to a lamp? Do not let the low price and great design fool you into this purchase. Save your money by spending a little more on a quality product! Or else, you will be a grumpy consumer :)

Unfortunately, the reviews stating the lamp came damaged proved to be true again- the box was really beat up, and the lamp body has several deep scratches that take the dark bronze finish off and leave the super shiny bronze showing (I'm tempted to scratch my own pattern into the rest of the body if I can't stop noticing it!) The directions are ridiculously generic, and I got extra parts that don't even serve a function for my lamp (Where do you put a swivel on a lamp that doesn't swivel?) Also, while the base is nice and heavy, the actual body is held up by cramming a long pole through one hole in the base and securing it with a wingnut- stability, not so much... For the price I thought I was going to get a decent lamp I could use for a long time, instead I'd say drop $50 at Target and save the self loathing!!

But I had spent the time to put it together...and it was too much to put back in the box, I decided to contact the manufacturer. I was so surprised by their excellent service. They replied to my email almost immediately and then sent out the missing part federal express.
As for the lamp, I like it and I think it has a nice finish. My only issue is that I have it on wall-to-wall carpeting and the lamp is top heavy. Thus, it leans a little. Although no one else seems to notice. And I've been looking for an attractive door stop or rock or something to place on the base....but honestly I've had it up for a few months now....so I'm not sure if that is even necessary.

(More customer reviews)This is a great lamp. Quality seems very good, and the base is sturdy. The paper shades for each bulb is also very nice. There's a lot of neat things you can do with this lamp to make it your own. Assembling was very easy.
The lamp post does not stand completely vertical and has a slight angle, but that could be because it's on carpet.
The lamp has 3 settings, so that you can select how many bulbs on at a time - 1, 2, or all 3. Each arm can move approximately 90 degrees and each bulb end has a movable hinge that allows the bulb to tilt.
This lamp is a keeper.

(More customer reviews)I purchased two of these lamps for use as bedside lighting. I am completely in love with them. The quality is excellent and I am totally satisfied with my purchase.
I found that the description did not contain a lot of information I wanted so let me tell you more about it.
The lamp comes wired for plug in use but it has the option to be hard wired. The plug in cord is of a very high quality, better than any other lamps in our home. The lamp comes with two lengths of cord cover totaling around 24 inches. The arm has about a 45 degree turning radius from side to side but can be tightened down so that it doesn't swing.
I would give the installation only 3 stars, but since I'll only install them once...I don't think it should detract from the overall score. A word of advice...USE YOUR OWN DRYWALL ANCHORS! The anchors that come with the lamps are complete garbage. I've never seen anything like them. Just simple tubes that you stick in the wall. No idea how they're meant to work. Other than that, I feel like I really scored with these lamps!
